The potter here does a fantastic job of incorporating and emphasizing the shapes of the depicted animals with the elements of the beaker itself—the horns of the goat emphasize the beaker’s roundness, while the elongated dogs stretch around its shoulder and the cranes extend the verticality of its neck.
