Though these cups appear to a be a pair, and while they contain the similar subject matter of bull hunting, stylistic analysis has determined that these were likely created by two different artists. Some scholars believe the cup with the pasture scene is actually a Minoan import, given its tranquil and natural qualities, while the cup portraying the use of nets to catch a bull is more ferocious, and therefore is more likely to have originated in Mycenae.
