In just a single pose, the sculptor was able to produce in this work an immense display of poise and power. Exceptional care and detail has been applied throughout—from the figure’s musculature to the fine crafting of its beard and hair. The fact that such an immense bronze figure is able to stand on its own—perfectly balanced—is a testament to the sculptor’s talent.
