Illuminated narratives experienced a grand revival in the late fifteenth century. Here, Behzad depicts daily life at a mosque, and employs beautiful script and pattern work to help create spacial relativity and depth; though three dimensional, Behzad has kept the figures in the same scale, enabling them to pop from the paper —an impressive feat for such a small work.
