These menhirs are prime examples of the sort of megaliths built during the Neolithic age. This particular group represents the largest in the world, including over 3,000 individual stones. Though they may have all been originally connected, the stones are now grouped into three separate, primary arrangements – the Menec, the Kermario and the Kerlescan. Given their precise arrangements, these stones may have been used as a calendar of sorts.
